Step by Step Instructions to Using Flex Tape

The entire process of applying flex tape involves four major steps.

1. Remove Any Dirt from The Surface

The first important step before using the tape is to clean the surface. By cleaning off any dirt, grease, or oil, you get one step ahead to attaining the best outcome. Use rags and cleaning products to get rid of mud and any other type of residue.

2. Measure and Cut

Measure the dimension of flex tape you require and cut using a sharp razorblade or scissors. Remember to keep the backing on while cutting. Also, ensure that you cut the flex tape larger than the area that needs fixing.

3. Peel and Stick

Once you are done cutting, peel the backing from one end and stick it to the leak from inside the pool. Press it down firmly and remove any air pockets. Proceed to apply the second piece on the outer area for double protection.

4. Give It 24 Hours

After applying the flex tape on the surface, let it sit for at least 24 hours to form a stronger bond. It creates a waterproof seal and can never be re-used on other surfaces.

Flex tape is an excellent option when you are looking for a quick fix. You should always use it properly by cleaning the surface, measuring and cutting the tape, and finally peeling the backing. Ensure to press it firmly with a flat item to remove any air pockets.
